For over 13 years, Dryland Design has been designing and installing both active and passive water harvesting, stream and habitat restoration, and Green Stormwater Infrastructure work. Founder Jeff Rhody holds a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture. Born in Tucson, Jeff has enjoyed building a relationship with the plants and landscape of Arizona throughout his life.
Dryland Design is a team of native Tucsonans. Each team member carries a strong connection to our unique bioregional environment and heritage. This team takes a lot of joy in designing and contributing to resilient and sustainable landscapes in our desert communities. Our combination of skills and passions have allowed us to grow a deeply informed landscape literacy for our region. That developed literacy, when coupled with years of experience working with diverse clients including private home owners, business owners, city and county officials, engineers, and contractors, places Dryland Design as an especially qualified partner for projects of any size or scope.
Rooted in a holistic approach to water and our desert community’s relationship to it. There is something truly special about doing this work. Our designs and installations are more than functional, they are artistic, beautiful and built to last. Most importantly our work is inspired by nature and its processes. We balance the rules of nature and the rules of people to create successful and thriving projects.
